Lehigh University Digital Library
Electronic Bookshelf

Special Collections frequently provides copies of titles from its holdings to a variety of researchers. From these requests, we are developing the Electronic Bookshelf, an ongoing project providing rich and varied resources in electronic format.

Instead of delivering single-use photocopies to a limited number of users, the Electronic Bookshelf will provide persistent digital versions to every interested scholar, researcher and student. From 15th century manuscript leaves, 16th century books, 19th century pamphlets to original manuscripts of famous titles, we will take the ordinary document delivery process a step further to create a productive resource sharing initiative.
