  28.  Thursday.   The third of May
weather.   To the Evening Post-Office, look-
ing over file, to get copies of my letters, suc-
ceeding not perfectly.    Looked in at Haney�s.
Met Banks at Crook and Duff�s, when he
said he was �practising drawing.�    Called
on Lindsay.      Up town.       Haney came up, sup-
ped and stayed till past 10.
