First, painting Hayes
Doth meet my gaze,
  Then Pa and Ma, I see, oh!
As in a mist
Engaged in whist;
  God bless the happy trio!

There Selwyn clings
To Boston things,
  Along with boy and madam;
To wings and drops,
To traps and props;
  I wish �twas here we had �em.

The mist dispels,
I see my Welles;
  Whose wit there none exceeded:	(!)
I wish he knew
How very blue
  I looked when he seceded.
