              where I found a roomful of people.   Two
of the Browns, Albert and Alfred, Cooper
Mason and others.   Lotty was there, laying
on the sofa beside Cooper.   They all
went soon, sat and talked awhile with
Lotty and her mother, principally about
her appearance.   Put Lotty out of temper
by telling her of the glorious ambition to achieve
newsboy plaudits. 
           Says she was
horribly nervous at first coming on.)
Mason hath news of a fathers death.  They
parted ungently, too.   Talks of returning,
taking Jane Gibson as a wife.       She deserves
a better mate than the little rou´┐Ż.
