door, talked with him, then to room.  Drew
lit fire &c .     Down town to supper.   Return.
Davis and a crony of his called.        Drew till late.
  7. Wednesday.  Down town to breakfast. Lockingtons.
Return and drawing Lantern Initials.     Barth came
stayed awhile, and dined with me, at the Excelsior.
  Called at the Lantern Office, return, drawing
again.    Lockington called. Down together to supper
(seeing Brougham by the way.)  �Picayune� to be
sold tomorrow.       Davis came.     Barth came as
agreed, and together to Burton�s, to see Twelfth Night.
Sir Toby the best played part, and that overacted.
Malvolio fat and prosy, and the fool an ass.     At
an English tavern for half an hour subsequently, then
Barth left.
