I had to sell, (having taken them from the
Lantern folks, as equivalent to $4.)  Mathew
tried [words crossed out] to get em for $5,
but didnt..     Took �em to Strongs.  Saw him
and Weldon.       Return, and work on
rebusses till far into the night.
  7. Friday.   Finished three small drawings
for Reveille, and the 15 Rebusses.   Sent
off 10 of the latter, and two former to Weed
by his nephew, who called.    Down town.
Met Picton.  To Strongs, who gave me $6
for blocks, much to Mathews disappointment
when I told him.  But he did the oily business.
Called at Lantern Office, then return.
Supped in doors, then drawing on wood till
late.
8.	Saturday.  Made a drawing on wood.
