Charley came at about 3 1/2  stayed an hour, and gave
me the owing $4.50 for the washerwoman.    I�d prea-
ched to him about it, & he evidently mistrusted the per-
manence of his virtuous resolves. /        He told me of his
Boston sojourn extensively,  steady employ, more �love� scrapes.
Woman of Italian extraction this time, � some relative of hers
against it, she wanted him to wait � he would �sell� him-
self (by waiting) for money.      So it goes!
