Individuals >> Ballard, Anna ( Annibale )

Journalist.

Anna Ballard, a reporter for the New York Sun, was a friend and traveling companion of Ada Clare (Rawson 104). Ballard's work at the Sun included "among other things, the news stories that bobbed up in the surrogates' court" (F. M. O'Brien 286). Ballard was a "veteran journalist" and "a life member of the New York Press Club" (Olcott, 21). She was also a member of The Theosophical Society, and presented a paper on one of its important figures, Jacob Boehme (Blavatsky & Besant 437). Her association with Pfaff's remains uncertain.
