Abstract

Figaro reports on the opening of the Maretzek's opera and the Herald's efforts to recover from the fallout of the argument between the editor and Maretzek now that the paper has been proven wrong. Figaro engages in a long discussion of the perfomance of Faust and some of the singers, including Miss Kellogg, Brignoli, and Irfre. Figaro also announces the upcoming readings by Miss Olive Logan and whose work she will be reading. Rather than engage in a detailed discussion of the week's theatrical events, Figaro gives a brief listing of the current and upcoming productions at several venues.
