He requests that the recipient send all the volumes of the census he is entitled to before June 30. Colfax was a Representative from Indiana (1855-1869), Ulysses S. Grant's Vice President (1869-1873), and a journalist and lecturer. Due to the Credit Mobilier scandal, he was not reelected. |
