for the world to stand still, nought to be done, that I might
have the blessed rest of a holiday.    Still you must then tell the world
that nothing is doing.

Boy Royal called at my room & sunset.  Evening at Burton�s.
Dog quite friendly.   Out with me down town.

  16. Saturday.}       Gymnasium, Dog out with me o�days.
  17. Sunday.  Morning drawing.   Wet outside.  Afternoon
out, with dog, to Mulberry St.     Supped at Mr Greatbatch�s.
Evening indoors,   & Damoreau coming, spent the evening in
book talk &c.

  19. Tuesday       work as usual.  Lots of other notions on
  20. Wednesday       wood for Strong�s & Harpers. Some
  21. Thursday       evenings at the Gymnasium.   One at
  22.  Friday.}       Burton�s.  Mr Johns called. Learnt
how Richardson has re-married with a certain ill-favoured
widow owning two boys.    Royal called.   He projecting re-
moval to West Chester.       Welden called.  With him
